There were two exciting games in the Shimmin Wilson Manx Shield.
Ramsey B kept their title challenge alive with an impressive 8-7 win over Douglas B.
Ray Sharpe’s super solo score put Douglas in front after 12 minutes. Gareth Hooson-Owen added the extras and Douglas held their lead till half-time.
Ramsey used the wind well in the second half but some resolute defending kept them at bay for over 20 minutes before scrum half Chris Penketh sneaked over.
A late penalty for Ramsey skipper Darren Ideson stole the points from Douglas.
At King Williams College, Emerging Nomads very nearly caused a big shock when they narrowly lost 19-17 to Vagabonds B.
Damian Brand, plus debut tries from Dave Horan and John Wolster, gave Nomads a flying start.
Vagas hit back with tries from Rory Dillon, Mike Caley and Mark Thomas but the game was decided by conversions - Vagas’ Danny Williams hit two to Horan’s one for Nomads.
