Nomads extend lead in Manx Shield
Vagabonds B beat Emerging Nomads 67-32 in an entertaining encounter at Ballafletcher to reach the semi final of the Shimmin Wilson Manx Plate.
The evergreen Kevin Birchall crashed in for two early tries and Vagas never really looked back.
John Cannan ran in two as did Ollie Morris, Ross Pulman and Tom Rowley with Sean Askin getting one.
Rowley also kicked six conversions.
For Nomads, Rob Craine ran in two and there were also tries from Jake Hardinge, Joe Corkish, Orry Watterson and George Callister with Ari Ludford-Brooks converting one.
PDMS Southern Nomads forged further clear of the pack in the Shimmin Wilson Manx Shield standings with an emphatic 108-30 win away at Castletown.
On loan Harry Catlow ran in four for Castletown and Harry Dawson added one, plus a penalty and a conversion.
Nomads are now four points clear of defending champions Douglas Celts, but the Celts have two games in hand.
