Vagas women go down at Chester
Vagabonds’ attempt to close the gap on the leading group in Womens NC North One ended in failure when they were beaten 31-0 by Chester Divas.
The result take Chester to top spot, if only for 24 hours, with previous leaders Sefton due to play on Sunday.
Vagas go into the Christmas break in fourth place, nine points adrift of the main challengers.
In the Shimmin Wilson Manx Shield, Ramsey B eased their way past Castletown 67-0 at a cold and windy Mooragh Park.
Jordan Walsh, Craig Long, Matt Cheeseman (two) and Chris Hancox all crossed for first half tries as Ramsey led 29-0 at the break.
In the second half, Mike Caldwell, Chris Clague and a hat-trick from sub Andy Cleator piled on the points as Ramsey B moved into a lofty third place in the standings.
