Vagabonds had high hopes for a big result away at Oldershaw but the home side snatched the game 13-10.
Vagas led 5-3 at half-time courtesy of a Ross Pullman try.
In the second half, Leigh Kennaugh doubled Vagas’ tally but the strong Oldershaw side was too powerful for Vagas in the end.
