The Trentham revival continued with a 22-11 win over Vagabonds.
Vagas clung on stubbornly for much of the game with a try from Ross McCulloch and two penalties from skipper Leigh Kennaugh keeping them in the hunt.
The Manx side trailed just 17-11 with 15 minutes to go before a late Trentham try sealed the game.
Vagas now trail the leading group by 10 points and look destined to remain in South Lancashire/Cheshire Two for another season.
