Vagabonds edged a little closer to the dreaded drop zone when they lost 32-14 away at fellow strugglers Ormskirk in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One.
Tom Gascoyne and skipper Leigh Kennaugh both picked up tries with Jonny Beckley adding two conversions but Vagas now must wait for other results to determine their fate.
Meanwhile, the leaders and champions of RFU Women’s North Two Novocastrians had an emphatic 58-15 win at Ballafletcher.
Tries for Vagabonds came from Fran Hunt, Rachel Beckley and Lizzie Lennon.
