Vagabonds picked up only their second away win of the season with a 35-22 win away at Widnes in EuroManx South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One.
The victory was tainted a little, however, when flanker Akki van der Berg picked up a knee injury, which could see him out for the rest of the season.
Before he went off, it was van der Berg who set Vagas on their way with two first half tries.
Ean Mousely also picked up a try which, along with a penalty and conversion from Jonny Beckley, gave Vagas a 20-10 half time lead.
They pushed further ahead in the second half with Den Wood and Daryn Thompson both adding tries and Beckley adding another penalty and conversion to give the side a much needed pre-Christmas boost.
