Top v bottom in Women’s Championship North Two meant a difficult job for Vagabonds but they contained league leaders Sheffield effectively for spells at Ballafletcher, eventually going down 20-12.
A first half try from Jackie Daly had Vagas briefly in front, before Sheffield hit back with two to lead 10-5 at half-time.
The Yorkshire outfit added two more in the second half before Daly added her second which was converted by Steph Hall.
