They may have missed out on the title but Valkyrs A were celebrating a cup success after a late show at the NSC on Saturday.
Two goals in the closing stages from Gareth Morris and Andrea Kneen fired them to a 3-1 success in the Wi-Manx Mixed Cup final to end champions Bacchas A’s hopes of a league and cup double.
Sean Corlett’s ninth minute strike had put them on course for a possible double as Bacchas edged the opening half.
However, Morris hauled Valkyrs level early in the second half and his second put them in front before Kneen clinched the cup.
