This afternoon's National Primary School Tag Rugby Finals was switched to the main sports hall at the National Sports Centre because the astro pitch is frozen - Scoill Ree Gorree "B" emerged as the winners with Victoria Road in Castletown taking second place.
Training sessions this evening are being hit by the cold weather once again.
The astro pitches in Douglas and Peel will remain closed for the remainder of the day - both are covered with ice. The National Sports Centre says the surface in Douglas in particular will take some time to thaw so weekend fixtures could be in trouble.
However, the pitches at Castle Rushen and Ramsey will be open tonight after coming through an inspection this afternoon.
The Junior Hockey training session at King William's College has been cancelled due to a frozen pitch.
