Western Vikings win in Manx Shield
Western Vikings set the early pace in the Shimmin Wilson Manx Shield with a 39-17 win against Emerging Nomads at QEII on Saturday.
Kevin Mellor was once again the star with four tries to his name.
Luke Smith also bagged two, with Ryan Burke kicking three conversions and a penalty.
For Nomads, veteran prop Tom Davies crossed for two tries with Orry Watterson grabbing one and a conversion from Dan Bridle.
