Manxman won title in dramatic fashion
Manx professional triathlete Will Draper pulled off a remarkable win at the weekend, taking the European Long Distance Triathlon Challenge in Amsterdam.
He did it with a sprint finish over the last few hundred metres, overtaking Tristan Olij and taking the title in his debut race on Saturday, 13 September
Draper won the European Long Distance Championship in seven hours 41 minutes and 40 seconds.
The event saw 50 professional athletes compete in its 44th edition.
Its Europe’s oldest long-distance triathlon and the second-oldest in the world.
