Defending Isle of Man golf champion Emma Harris made a winning start to the defence of her title yesterday (Sunday).
She topped the leaderboard after two rounds of qualifying in the Appleby Island Ladies Golf Championship to reach Wednesday evening's last 16 at Douglas.
Harris was followed by Christina Skelly and Joy Morris, and there were some fine performances, especially from younger players.
As the tournament moves into matchplay, the line-up for Wednesday evening is Emma Harris v Mair Gardner, Anne Gelling v Heather McKenna, Jane Gaines v Anne Gundry, Joy Phelan v Shirley Glover, Joy Morris v Ana Dawson, Susan Kinrade v Cath Preston, Gaynor Lees v Jasmine Heginbotham and Jackie Clague up against Christina Skelly.
Those matches tee off at ten minute intervals from 5pm.
