Ramsey AFC is hosting a football tournament featuring AFC Wimbledon, the side started by fans after the original Wimbledon Football Club became the MK Dons.
Formed in 2002, they won the Conference South last season so will be in the top tier of English non-league football in 2009/10, the Blue Square Premier League.
It's on this Saturday, July 18th, at Ballacloan Stadium, North Shore Road, Ramsey, from 12.30pm.
AFC Wimbledon are bringing a big squad and will line up in two matches, against Ramsey and the Isle of Man national team.
The schedule is:
1. Ramsey AFC v AFC Wimbledon at 12.30pm.
2. Isle of Man v AFC Wimbledon at 3.00pm
3. Ramsey AFC v Isle of Man at 5.30pm ( weather and pitch permitting).
There will be no admission charge for this feast of football but a collection will be taken to go towards expenses.
Ramsey's Chairman Malcolm Kelly says it's an opportunity for Manx sports fans to see high quality football played in a friendly, sporting but competitive atmosphere.
Haydn the Womble, AFC Wimbledon’s mascot, will also be present to add to the atmosphere.
