Labour of love brings glory in Utah

A local petrol head has recently set four world records at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah.

Paul Hodgson has set marks there previously, having been the chief engineer for the Lonan Gentlemens' Fellowship, which achieved records when they competed in Bonneville Speed Week in 2012.

Paul carries out design, electronics and engineering work on his machines from the basement of his house in Lonan.

This time he wasn't associated with any team, preferring to 'do what he loves' and test his theories to see if they work.
