Next month's House of Keys general election has what could be its youngest candidate!
Accountant Lawrie Hooper is contesting the two-seat constituency of Ramsey, at the age of 24.
Mr Hooper lives in Douglas, but says he knows the northern town much better, as it was his home from when he moved to the Island with his parents twelve years ago.
He says, if successful at the polls, he would put his career on hold, and hopefully be able to serve as an MHK for long enough to make a difference to Ramsey and the Island as a whole.
Mr Hooper is up against fellow challengers Linda Bowers-Kasch, John McDonough and Leonard Singer, and outgoing MHKs Allan Bell and Anne Craine.
