Spanish competitor died after crashing during Tuesday's racing
The brother of the TT rider who died after a crash during Tuesday's racing will flag the start of this afternoon's (9 June) Supertwin race to commemorate him.
Raul Torras Martinez, 46, was killed at Alpine, between the 16th and 17th mile markers during the third and final lap of the evening's Supertwin race.
His brother, Angel Torras Martinez, says he's 'honoured to be able to flag [today's] race as a way of symbolising my brother Raul’s undoubted passion for the Isle of Man TT Races and his clear love of road racing.'
'Myself and my family were incredibly proud of all Raul achieved as the fastest Spaniard to have competed and will continue to support and follow the TT.'
This afternoon's three-lap Carole Nash Supertwin Race gets underway at 2pm.
