Head of Motorsport gives views on set-up and future of the races
The TT has faced the same cost pressures as those experienced in Ireland around several areas including insurance.
That's according to the head of motorsport who's given his thoughts on the racing fortnight ahead of today's opening races.
The festival has seen a number of changes for 2023 - including a busier 10-race schedule and Paul Phillips believes, after 'fundamental reform' over the last two years, there will be 'a more settled short to medium term future' for the event.
Further changes in the pipeline for 2024 and beyond, he says, are 'perhaps less high profile' and will focus more on race organisation, risk management initiatives and infrastructure.
