TT Qualifying: Hickman tops 133mph

Lap record holder fastest on Superbike, Superstock and Supertwin

Peter Hickman remains the faster rider in qualifying at this year's TT after setting the first lap in excess of 133mph last night.

The lap record holder set the pace with a lap of 133.220mph on the Superbike, becoming the first rider to lap the course in under 17 minutes this year.

Hickman was also fastest on the Superstock (129.910mph) and Supertwin (120.994mph) classes, while Michael Dunlop's 126.663mph Supersport lap him made him the quickest rider on the 600cc machines.

Dean Harrison was second, while Davey Todd's lap of 132.187mph put him third, and gave him his best ever time around the Mountain Course, while Dunlop and Manxman Conor Cummins also posted 130mph+ laps.

In the sidecars, Ben and Tom Birchall (117.516mph) continue to be the pairing to beat after setting their fastest time of the week.

Local duo the Crowe brothers were second on the night, with newcomer Harry Payne and passenger Mark Wilkes completing the top three.
