Achieving an honest, authentic and equal representation of people with disability on television and in film is often said to be a vital factor in creating a more inclusive society, and this week’s guest is so passionate about this particular subject she has made it her life’s work. This week on Talking in the Dark Evie talks with ITV’s Creative Diversity Partner, and Chair of the BAFTA Disability Group Sam Tatlow, MBE. In this fascinating conversation Sam speaks to Evie about her work helping to influence greater inclusion in television and film, as well the many ways her and her team help to develop accessibility for disabled artists across the industry. Sam’s also talks about her life growing up as a disabled person and her path into her first career as an actor at the world renowned Graeae theatre company.
