£50,000 grant given by Manx Lottery Trust
Critical first aid on the Isle of Man has been given a significant financial boost.
St John Ambulance has received a £50,000 grant from the Manx Lottery Trust, which will go towards equipping Community First Aid Responders.
They provide emergency medical assistance, as well as support to ambulance crews and are often the first on scene at incidents where casualties need medical assistance.
Chief Commissioner at St John Ambulance Isle of Man, Martin Benson, says ‘this grant is a game changer and has enabled us to equip a whole new intake of responders with the necessary tools to serve our community during critical moments of need.'
