2025 Southern 100 getting underway today

Billown event celebrating 70th anniversary this year

The 2025 Southern 100 Road Races are due to get underway today (7 July) on the Billown Course.

It's a special year for the event which is celebrating its 70th anniversary.

Roads around the course are due to shut at 6pm before proceedings begin with a newcomers familiarisation lap at around 6.18pm.

That will be followed by opening qualifying for all solo classes currently scheduled between around 6.26pm and 8.46pm.

This evening's action is then due to conclude with the first sidecar qualifying session at around 8.53pm until 9.10pm.

All highways around the course will then reopen no later than 9.40pm.

All timings are approximate and remain subject to change depending on prevailing conditions and circumstances.

Roads Close - 6pm

Newcomers Familiarisation Lap - 6.18pm until 6.25pm

1100cc Class (Red Plates) - 6.42pm until 6.40pm

Lightweight Class (Green Plates) - 6.47pm until 7.01pm

Supersport 600 (White Plates) - 7.29pm until 7.43pm

Supersport 600 (Yellow Plates) - 7.50pm until 8.04pm

1100cc Class (Red Plates) - 8.11pm until 8.25pm

Lightweight Class (Green Plates) - 8.32pm until 8.46pm

Sidecars - 8.53pm until 9.10pm

Roads Open - 9.40pm (no later than)
