DHSC Minister Ashford says figure is a forecast
A predicted overspend of £3.5 million by the health department is subject to change.
Health and Social Care Minister David Ashford has responded to the news released earlier this week.
The figure was revealed at a Public Accounts Committee hearing on Wednesday, by CEO of the DHSC Malcolm Couch.
It comes after the department has recorded repeated overspending, over the past three years - to the tune of more than £30 million.
Mr Ashford says the number is not yet set in stone though: (play audio)
