Two new movies will be shot on the Island over the next year thanks to hte new partnership with Pinewood Studios.
The first is the thriller Take Down, which will be helmed by Jim Gillespie, the director of I Know What You Did Last Summer.
The film, about school students taking on kidnappers at a remote school, will start filming in September and has a budget of around £10 million.
Meanwhile, the Isle of Man is also set to host a movie about the life of Winnie the Pooh creator AA Milne.
The biopic, entitled Goodbye Christopher Robin, follows the author’s life through the 1920s and 30s.
With a budget of up to £10 million, the Pinewood-backed film will be written by Simon Vaughan, the scriptwriter behind BBC programme Ripper Street.
The movie is due to start shooting in the Island – as well as in the UK - in summer 2014.
