He set off from Whitehaven this morning
A former army captain attempting to swim from Whitehaven to the Isle of Man has abandoned his voyage.
Adam Diver was attempting to make it into the Guinness Book of World Records.
He began his 51km swim just before 8.30 this morning (22 July).
However at 3.30pm he had to stop due to the weather:
In a post on his Facebook page - The Big Swim to the Isle of Man - he says he is fully intent on completing this record later in the year.
