The trial of the Island’s Attorney General has been adjourned until tomorrow, when a jury will continue its deliberations.
Earlier today, the jury was told to engage in a ‘cool and dispassionate’ discussion as it considers evidence it’s heard over the past fortnight.
The words came from the judge presiding over the case, Deemster Birkett.
He summed up the case of Stephen Harding at Douglas Courthouse this morning, then sent the seven-strong jury out to retire to consider its verdicts.
Fifty-two-year-old Mr Harding of Glen Vine denies charges of perjury and committing acts against public justice, relating to the winding-up of former Island company Street Heritage in 2010.
