PAG meeting hears from local analyst and author
A public meeting later will seek solutions to what are being termed 'urgent' problems with the dwindling population.
The Positive Action Group is hosting the summit, featuring a talk from population analyst and author Paul Craine.
Almost a fifth of the Manx population is now aged 65 or over, making the Island one of the world's 'oldest' societies.
Concerns have also been raised over a fall in the birth rate, and mass emigration by young families.
But Mr Craine warns that filling the gap by inviting people to migrate here could have consequences.
This evening's meeting takes place at the Manx Legion Club in Douglas, getting underway at 7.30pm. All are welcome.
