'Nothing to worry about' says Manx Care
One of the helicopters used by the Great North Air Ambulance Service will be flying over the Isle of Man today.
It's part of a communications testing exercise, ahead of the Helicopter Emergency Transfer Service going live.
Manx Care says it will be flying over Noble’s Hospital, but won't be landing - and assured there's nothing to worry about, if people see the aircraft overhead.
The service, which is being provided on an initial six-month trial basis, will be used to quickly transport patients who are incredibly sick or who have suffered a major trauma to a specialist emergency care centre in the North West of England.
It will operate alongside the Island's existing fixed wing air ambulance service.
