DoI outsources training to third party contractor
Almost £27,000 has been spent training bus drivers on the Isle of Man in the current financial year.
Figures published in response to a Tynwald written question show it's cost £26,705 for bus and minibus drivers to complete licence training with a third party contractor since the start of April last year.
It's an increase on the previous two years when training cost a combined total of less than £18,000.
Infrastructure Minister Chris Thomas confirmed training continues once the licence has been obtained - including route learning, ticketing and vehicle familiarisation.
