Proposed legislation due its second reading today
People from both sides of the assisted dying debate are due to demonstrate outside the House of Keys this morning (31 October).
The Assisted Dying Bill is due to have its second reading.
Isle of Man Freethinkers, Dignity in Dying and Assisted Dying Concern Isle of Man are planning to share their thoughts with politicians and members of the public from 8am.
If the bill was passed certain adults, who are terminally ill, could be provided - at their request - with assistance to end their own life.
Manx Radio's Amy Griffiths spoke to the groups as they prepared to rally support or highlight objection to the proposals:
You’ll be able to listen to the bill being discussed in the House of Keys via Manx Radio’s AM1368 frequency, on DAB or via Manxradio.com.
