No need for action says Foreign Office
The UK Foreign Office has confirmed existing social and travel rights with the Isle of Man will be preserved after Brexit.
An agreement to 'fully protect and maintain' the Common Travel Area - encompassing Britain, Ireland, the Isle of Man and Channel Islands - was reached in Brussels earlier this month.
It means any citizens of those places can freely move, work, study and access public services on a reciprocal basis.
The CTA in its original form dates back almost one hundred years.
In a statement on its website, the Foreign Office says citizens party to the agreement 'don't need to do anything' to preserve their rights as the 2019 deadline approaches.
