Beach Buddies gather at Blue Point

North west cost focus for clean-up

The Island's beach cleaning volunteers Beach Buddies are heading to the north-west coast this morning (16 Oct).

 

A stretch of beach at Blue Point near Jurby is the group's focus from 10.30am. 

  

It'll be the Buddies' first visit there since the end of the summer nesting season.

 

Leader Bill Dale says a Beach Buddies bin in the car park sponsored by Aston International, is well used - but he's expecting to find a fair amount of rubbish further along the shoreline. 

 

There's no need to register or call in advance - just turn up and you'll be  given a bag, a litter picker and plenty of encouragement!

 

New volunteers always welcome - but do bring your own gloves.
