Busy weekend for charity
Beach Buddies volunteers will get the chance to test their language skills this morning (18 Nov) as they team up with Culture Vannin.
The group will meet at 10:30 by the car park near the Mona's Queen Memorial to sweep the shores for litter, and be joined by Adrian Cain, who'll be teaching volunteers some basic Manx Gaelic.
All are welcome to attend, regardless of language ability, with all equipment provided for recycling the picked rubbish.
Adrian says there'll be a linguistic challenge to come up with Manx terms for what the volunteers find during the beach clean.
The Buddies are also holding an event on Sunday at Blue Point from 10:30 in the morning.
