Scheme due to be completed by Easter next year
Finishing the works on Douglas promenade will visually enhance the Island's capital, but the real benefit is beneath the road surface.
That's the message from the Island's infrastructure minister, less than six months before the project is due to be completed.
Tim Baker says Manx roads must be continually improved.
But, he believes this is the biggest project of its kind seen on the Island:
