Government initiative aims to reduce traffic congestion and improve health
There's a thumbs-up from a local bike retailer for the government's new cycle to work scheme, which starts early next month.
The scheme offers tax breaks to employers who fund the purchases of bicycles and associated equipment from Manx shops for employees, up to the value of £1,000.
It's understood that money would then be repaid by the employee in installments from their gross pay.
The aim is to get more people out of their cars and on their bikes, reducing traffic congestion and making them healthier.
