Virus present in guillemot populations
The environment department is asking people who discover certain dead birds to report them.
Cases of avian flu have been identified around the Island, with a number of dead seabirds washing up on beaches in recent days and weeks.
DEFA says it would be grateful for reported findings of either: two or more large waterfowl (such as swans or geese) found together, or six or more smaller birds found together.
Chief Veterinary Officer Amy Beckett says they won't be testing all of those found for bird flu:
