
The Lord Bishop has welcomed plans to introduce anti-discrimination laws in the Island.
A public consultation was yesterday (Monday) launched on an Equality Bill which would make it illegal to discriminate on grounds of age, disability, gender, race, religion or sexual orientation.
That prompted Andrew Dixon from the Rainbow Association - which represents the interests of the lesbian, gay and bisexual community – to say it was a move to break free from religious supremacy.
