Invasive worm species has been found on the Island
Boat owners on the Isle of Man are being encouraged to check and clean their vessels for invasive species during annual maintenance, especially after travelling to new places.
It's after the Australian tubeworm was found on two boats in Ramsey when they were taken out of the water.
Both had come from Peel Marina to Ramsey for winter storage.
Information will be available for harbour users shortly, and DEFA member Dr Michelle Haywood MHK says the situation is being closely monitored:
