Patients demand taxi company's reinstatement
A petition to have Bridgewater Taxis reinstated as the patient transfer service has topped 1,500 signatures.
It's emerged the Liverpool-based company, which has provided the specialist taxi journeys for the best part of 20 years, recently lost the contract to do so.
This followed a tender process by the Department of Health and Social Care.
The case has provoked outcry from Manx patients and their families, who say the level of care is unparalleled.
