Financial plan for 2023-24 gets Tynwald approval
This year’s Budget will hit the ‘working poor’ disproportionately.
That’s the view of Rushen MHK, and Speaker of the House of Keys, Juan Watterson.
The financial plan for 2023-24 was approved almost unanimously by Tynwald yesterday (21 February) – with just one MHK, John Wannenburgh, voting against it.

Mr Watterson said despite his concerns he will support the Treasury Minister as there is ‘so much to do’ over the next year:
