Donation jar taken early Tuesday morning
There's been a burglary at the Mother T's community centre and coffee shop in Laxey.
A donation jar was taken, with money in various denominations, as well as two woollen blankets, which were later found discarded a short distance away.
Police are investigating the robbery that took place between 2.30am and 3.40am yesterday.
Three people have been arrested and are being detained at police headquarters in Douglas.
Mother T's on a Facebook post said the overall loss and damage comes to about £500.
It adds that the biggest loss "is the belief system that something like this would never happen where [they] live and work."
Anyone with information regarding the incident, especially who may have dash cam footage, is asked to call 631212.
