Bus Vannin says it remains ‘committed’ to the safety of its passengers and staff.
It’s after a number of drivers tested positive for Covid-19 – although it won't confirm how many.
Unite the Union claims half of the workforce is in self-isolation.
In a statement released this afternoon Bus Vannin says measures are in place so that a bus service, for essential travel, can continue to be provided.
These include an enhanced cleaning regime, screens to separate the driver from the passengers and a separate air supply in the driver’s cab.
Drivers also keep the same bus for their whole shift meaning some passengers have to change bus on through journeys.
