MHK wants to monitor height and weight of primary students
An MHK says more needs to be done to tackle childhood obesity in the Isle of Man.
During House of Keys questions yesterday Daphne Caine asked the education minister what progress had been made in collecting the height and weight measurements of Year 6 pupils.
Graham Cregeen told her doing so was nothing to do with his department, saying it was for the Public Health Directorate to deal with.
Speaking to Manx Radio after the sitting, Mrs Caine said she was keen for progress to be made, before another opportunity is missed:
