MHK wants Isle of Man to follow EU
There's a call from a Manx politician to ban single use plastics, in line with the EU.
The European parliament recently voted to outlaw a number of single use plastics, to come into force by 2021.
In the House of Keys tomorrow the Middle MHK Bill Shimmins will ask the Minister for Environment, Food and Agriculture, whether he plans to follow in the EU's footsteps.
Mr Shimmins says the Island needs to catch up with its neighbouring jurisdictions:
