Petition on fireworks restrictions to go before Tynwald
A petition calling for further restrictions on firework displays will be discussed at this month's Tynwald sitting.
It calls for a ban in urban areas and for silent displays only elsewhere.
David Cretney MLC is bringing the matter before Island politicians:
One of the organisations to sign the petition, which was started by Judith Corrin a couple of months ago, is the ManxSPCA.
General Manager Juana Warburton says the noise of fireworks can be very upsetting for many animals and pets:
'Isle of Man could drive drug reform innovation'
