Government blamed for state of seafront
There's been a call for new legal powers to help brighten up the capital's seafront.
Since recent figures indicated a large drop in visitors to the Island last year, a number of industry chiefs have blamed the state of Douglas Promenade.
Tour operator Ged Power has suggested legislation could ensure the area is more attractive for visitors stepping off the ferry.
He believes compulsory purchase orders or fines could be enforced against owners who fail to maintain their properties.
