The chief minister has confirmed there have been no economic assessments or costings carried out for the projects he unveiled at the Government Conference.
At the annual event, Alfred Cannan announced a series of new initiatives - including plans for a National Office for AI Development and Regulation.
Onchan MHK Julie Edge questioned whether it was 'irresponsible' to raise expectations without first assessing the costs.
