Ramsey MHK suggests harnessing technology
Sufferers of ME or chronic fatigue syndrome could be offered remote help and advice from UK specialists - by harnessing technology.
That's the suggestion from Ramsey MHK and GP Dr Alex Allinson, during a Keys exchange on diagnosis and treatment of the condition.
There are currently limited care options for ME patients in the Island - and no funding set aside for developing services.
However, a steering group has been tasked with drawing-up a care pathway - and funding could follow next year.
Dr Allinson told the Keys telemedicine could be used to link patients with a range of agencies in the UK.
