Warning after Santon blaze
A disposable barbecue is being blamed for a large fire at Port Grenaugh last night.
Firefighters were called to the beach in Santon in the early hours of this morning.
Due to the blaze being in a remote area, two off-road fire engines were required.
It took four hours to extinguish the flames.
The Fire and Rescue Service has urged beachgoers to use 'extreme caution' to prevent further 'careless' fires, which can spread very quickly and devastate surrounding areas.
