£1.4 million to be spent
The policy and reform minister has defended the plan to spend £1.4 million to regenerate part of Douglas's high street.
It was recently announced work on Castle Street would start early next year, as part of the Lower Douglas Regeneration Scheme.
It's due to finish by mid-October.
